About lavender

As a special gift from mother nature, lavender seems to have it all. It has been used medically for centuries and is reputed to have extraordinaty relaxing and healing properties, used mainly for curing headaches, migraines and insomnia.

Not all traditional and less traditional uses are connected to medicine though. It is still common to put small lavender pillows in dressers and drawers, as the heavenly herb not only gifts it unique fragrance to one's clothes, but also keeps those pesky moths away.

Others use it in soothing balms, massage oils, and basically any other kind of cosmetic products providing the skin a sweet release from the pains of sunburn, insect bites and other irritations.

Nowadays lovers of the culinary arts are starting to rediscover lavender for themselves, using it in syrup or oil form, or dry it out for seasoning.

Give it a chance and see for yourself.
